Charter Planning Process and Outcomes
As we convene our 115+ charter partners in September 2020 we will be commencing a first-ever discussion about a strategy to provide the enabling systems, programs and mechanisms that are needed to kick-start a new wave of Indigenous innovation. We are convening representatives from post-secondary research organizations, Indigenous businesses, and others to co-design this bold new strategy. This is the start of a 10 to 12- month planning process which will leverage and engage some of the best minds in Canada (our Luminaries) to tackle the issues and opportunities which we have described in this background document.
The final deliverable and outcome of the Charter partners’ work is a comprehensive business plan and strategy for ‘Luminary’, the organizational body that will develop and deliver the programs, services and mechanisms which enable Indigenous businesses to engage with post-secondary researchers and use the knowledge from that research to develop business innovations which grow Indigenous economies and provide opportunities for these businesses to engage in the mainstream economy.
Develops and delivers practical systems, services and programs which facilitate Indigenous business and research collaborations and increased business innovation
